Welcome to InfiniteMac! :)

Double check but I think your board uses the Intel G41 Northbridge and Intel ICH7 Southbridge chipsets. Once you are sure that these are your chipsets (Checking the manufacturers' website or your user manual.) you should add them to the other specs in your post and also to your title as there may be others with different mobos but with the same chipsets and you may get more responses.

Signature
You can also place this information in your "Signature". It will then appear on every post you make. Please keep your signatures reasonably sized. We do not want to see full page specs. Edit your signature here: http://www.infinitemac.com/faq.php?faq=vb3_user_profile#faq_vb3_signatures_av atars

What are chipsets?
You can use your motherboard as an example. It generally should have whats called a Northbridge & Southbridge chipset. The Northbridge deals with your CPU, RAM & Graphics and your Southbridge deals with the rest (hard drives, usb, expansion slots)

I already made the appropriate changes in my profile, somebody has a guide to install Snow leopard 10.6.2?

I bought this board last night and just got finished installing the iATKOS S3 Snow Leopard 10.6.3 Intel DVD. After I realized that this distro was not going to work with the on-board video I was up and running pretty quick. I didn't install the audio driver because I have my own M-Audio cards that I use. If you want to know more PM me. The plain vanilla kernel works just fine.

I have an Asus P5G41-m lx ($60)
Ati Radeon x300 ($15)
1tb seagate ($50)
6Gb Ram ($60)
Firewire ($10)
The case, procesor(2.93 intel), wireless card and power were hand outs I got.
(Handout's value around $135)
Haven't got the wireless to work though...

Total of $195 spent on the tower

I hand out all the links necesary on getting this to run smoothly. ;)

1- Set BIOS so the CD would boot first

2- Inserted the iAtkos S3 v2 disc
http://ba-k.com/showthread.php?t=1692287
and let load for a while. (as long as you see a light flashing in the front panel of your cd/dvd drive, you're good. once there's no more lights flashing, it froze; this goes for the whole installation process)

3- Used the Disc Utility, I formated my HDD in 3 partitions
a)Mac OSX journalized (GUI)
b)Mac OSX journalized (GUI)
c)MS-Dos Format

hit apply then closed the screen.

4- I restarted, switched disk to Windows Installation Disc and installed WIndows 7

5- Restarted, Went on with Mac OS X 10.6.3 iAtkos S3 v2 install

6- Before hitting the install button, I selected the Customize button.

7- I took out the sound drivers, selected the modified kernel Atom Kernel
and selected the Ati Evo enabler in the VGA section.

8- Install went swell.

9- Now press F8 when the chameleon bootloader appears and select the OS you want to boot.

10- Continue with the Mac Install and use the kexts found here for the sound and internet to function properly.

11- Download and install iLife '11 for garageband!!

THAT's IT

Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.6.3

What more could you ask for?

My board is Asus P5G41T-M LX. I have tried a few times to installed iATKOS S3 v2 using your method on that board but wasn't successful. The installation went fine, but when it restarted, it just got stuck at "system uptime in nanoseconds: xxxxxxxx". Wondering if anyone here happened to have the same board and successfully hackintoshed it (?)

Specs:
- ASUS P5G41T-M LX
- Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300
- Patriot 8GB DDR3 RAM
- ATi Radeon x1300 PCI-e graphic card

never mind, I just installed successfully SL 10.6.3 retail DVD using iBoot tonymacx86 method. Then installed easybeast, AtherosL1cEthernet.kext, VooDooHDA.kext, and finally MacOSXUpdCombo10.6.8 Now I have a fully working hackintosh (sound, ethernet, nVidia 8400GS 512MB DDR2) A very happy Mac user now

I used the modified VoodooHDA.kext (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=68697) uploaded by user "frustrate" in this thread http://tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=14470

I later updated to Lion 10.7, then 10.7.2 and my hackintosh PC has been working fully and stably since.
