Hi,
I updated to 10.6.2 with system updater and on reboot I received a kernel panic. I heard that changing the kernel from 10.2.0 to the default kernel will fix this...well it didn't. I have heard that chameleon v2 rc 3 can not boot the 10.2.0 kernel. Is so I have a patch for this but I don't know how to patch without being able to boot. Hope you can help. :)

don't use the system updater. thats what happened to me the first time.

if your using hazard's distro, click the 10.6.2 update combo and not the 10.6.1. that's what worked for me

Ok maybe I didn't post enough info. First I was booting retail snow leopard before the kernel panic. Second I really don't want to have to reinstall snow leopard. I have tried changing the kernel to a patched 10.6.0 kernel but I still get a kernel panic. But in the kernel panic it said 10.2.0 kernel which is the 10.6.2 kernel so I'm out of things to try. I have read that in boot 132 you can tell it to boot of a certain kernel. Is this true? Please keep in mind that anything you tell me to do must be able to be done I windows because that is all I am able to boot right now. Thank you in advance. :D

Sounds like an offending kext file to boot up try using the "-f" "-x" along with the "-v" boot flags at the chameleon boot loader.

Ok, a kernel panic upon boot.

Try -arch=i386

-arch=x86_64

-Legacy

It's arch=i386 and not -arch=i386

boot with pmVersion=0 and then go into /Extra/Extensions and replace the sleepenabler with this one (http://www.meklort.com/?wpfb_dl=2)
