my system

snow leopard 10.6.2
gigabyte ex58-ud3r
i7-940 processor - normal clock(2.93)
6 gigs triple channel ram (3x2 Gigs)
nvidia 8800 gts 640 mb (0x0193 10de) Pci e installed
also have nvidia g 210
rca 32" flat screen lcd 2 hdmi, i vga
and more...

and for the problem....

So i managed to get Snow 10.6.2 installed using retail copy, with rc3 and pc efi 10.5, built custom dsdt with a dsdt generator(cant remember which one). first tried installing video card with efi strings, it worked that way for both cards, but i couldn't get full screen using hdmi out on g 210 or dvi to hdmi on 8800, the resolutions listed in display properties were 720p, 1080i, and a few others i cant remember trying both methods. my native resolution for monitor is 1366x768, 1280x768 also will give me a full screen, but neither of these res' was available in snow with either card, i tried overscan with different resolutions, and with the ones that gave me fullscreen the dock, and top menu bar were off the screen, when using vga i can get all resolutions, but not with dvi - hdmi on 8800 or with hdmi or dvi on g210. if it helps any when i hook up vga its with a dvi to vga connector and it works with all resolutions, but the display quality isnt as good as the digital connections. so i switched to nvenabler and put device id's in proper kexts, and nvcap in enabler and same thing cant get all resolutions out of digital outputs. both methods efi string and kext showed proper video card and ram in system profiler.

so is there anyone who can school me on how to get 1366x 768 or even 1280x768 with digital connection(dvi - hdmi for 8800 or hdmi on g210) in snow? your help would be greatly appreciated :-)
