What MOBO is better for Snow Leopard 10.6.2 retail?
1. EVGA X58-SLI (expensive option)
2. Gigabyte GA-X58-UD5 (expensive option)
3. Gigabyte GA-X58-UD3R (cheap option)

System:
core i7 920
Corsair Dominator 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz
EVGA 9800GT 1GB
OCZ ModXStream Pro 500W Modular. Will it be enough?

Work:
Graphic desing (Adobe CS4)
Video edit (Final Cut Pro)

Important for me:
Shutdown / reboot / sleep works
Firewire connector (video capture), Ethernet and Sound works please!

I need your recommendation to buy the MOBO easier to install and more compatible with Snow Leopard. All your comments will be helpful.

2. Gigabyte GA-X58-UD5 (expensive option)

I am buying this in 3-4 weeks, i have been told this is the easiest and best mobo for patching dsdt and other things.

I doubt with the GA-EX58-UD3R because it's very similar to GA-EX58-UD5.
Differences: 16GB max. RAM, 1 ethernet,ALC888... It seems that
everything works and it's cheaper!

Yeah but look on Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 and Gigabyte GA-X58-UD5. UD7 has ALC889 and UD5 ALC889A, 889a works without binary patching/editing AppleHDA in OSX SL so that is one of the reasons why to choose UD5 over UD7, even if UD7 has USB3 and better sata (wich does not work anyway on hackingtosh). Same thing for the other board sure they are similar but the small differences can matter.

either will be fine, buy your ram in odd numbers if not you'll bottleneck your processor 3gig 6gig 9gig kits and etc

Thank you very much. Yesterday I read on the subject of triple channel.
But one thing I don't know. Which is better 6GB triple-channel or 8GB dual channel?

I checked your link to the other post on insanelymac.com. For me the EX58- ud3r mobo works. I do have adobe cs4 working on it, and I import DV through the firewire and use Imovie 09. Everything works on mine, sound, ethernet, GTX 260. I even added a Highpoint Rocket raid 2320 card for my windows7 SSD RAID0 and 4 640GB RAID5, and have a RAID0 for mac using two SSD's for Snow Leapord boot, and a 1TB for MAC storage on the Intel ICH10R chip. Total of 10 hard drives on this mobo with two OS's running smooth with Empire EFI, at 4.1GHZ, and 6GB of 1600mhz OCZ. It works so well, I just bought new parts from newegg.com and going to build one for my sisters family minus the two raid setups.
