Well, I've been having Mac OSX Leopard as my primary O/S nowadays and was wondering if there are any specific applications that users can suggest. It can be in any form from productivity to Security, etc. Some software I can suggest are iLife '08, Microsoft Office 2008, iWork '08, Adobe CS3 Master's Collection, Dragon Burn, Pacifist, and Toast Titanium 8.

Suggest your essential Mac software here!

Software for Mac Noobs =)

I recommend & love the following applications:

AdiumX (best instant messenger ever)

Aperture 2 (for photographers)

BetterZip (great unpacking application)

CandyBar (change the look of your OS X, use http://macthemes2.net as a great resource)

Coda (for webdevelopers, awesome!)

Colloquy (best IRC client)

Little Snitch (must need for all of us)

OmniWeb (perfect Browser, I love it even more than Safari now!)

SubEthaEdit (best Editor for text and all kind of programming languages)

Speed Download (nice Download Manager)

Transmit (best SCP/FTP Client)

TeXShop (LaTeX!)

Have fun (you certainly will)! :)

Hey Putta, downloaded all of the software you posted here. Amazing applications, including Little Sntich. Thank you so much. I have a secured connection now for outgoing activity, something that Mac's intergrated firewall lacks. =) Mac OSX is still STRONG regardless. I installed additional security for my own protection. =)

Did you know apples keep you immune to viruses? I'm serious, apple (fruit) does. Funny concept apple computer came up with, right? lol
