tried to boot but it stucks @ bsm auditing present or goes further and gets stuck if i press -v option

if i try through graphical interface only apple logo comes

pls help its my first time

graphic card intel 946gz express chipset
hard disk a spare IDE 20 GB Seagate
DVD Writer Samsung SATA

try booting with different boot flags at the bootloader, like -v or -f or -x or -x32 or rd=disk0

Did you set the BIOS to AHCI ?
