I apologize ahead of time if any of this info seems inaccurate. I'm quite ignorant.

PC Setup:
Model: HP A6650f
Processor:Phenom II x4 -9550 (A) 2.2 GHz (95W)
Chipset: GeForce 6150SE nForce 430
Motherboard: Asus M2N68-LA
Memory: 6 GB DDR2
Video Card: NVidia Geforce 128 MB (Sorry, can't figure out series)
Audio: ALC 888s

(Let me know if you wish to know any more info about my set up. This is all I know to put.)

After 4 months of studying and countless (failed) attempts to install Mac OSX on my AMD Phenom II computer, I have finally succeeded. The only problems I'm experiencing is my ethernet doesn't work, and it is slightly slow to boot. (About 2 minutes on the white-screen. From what I read this isn't horrible.) Also, I'd love to display in a higher resolution than I am, but from what I've read, I don't see how it's possible. After I explain how I successfully installed Mac OSX 10.5.4 on my AMD Phenom II, if someone could please tell me how to fix my three problem, I'd really appreciate it. And also, when I run system profiler in Mac OSX, it says I have one processor core, but when I run activity monitor, it shows 4 cores running. What's going on here? Thanks.:D

Here's how I did this.

First, I took out my SATA CD/DVD-RW drive, and put in an old IDE CD/DVD drive, along with an old IDE 80 Gb hard drive, routing it as the master, and the CD/DVD drive as the slave. Even though I believe a forum said to do otherwise, I left my SATA hard drive (500 GB/7200RPM) plugged in, and installed MAC OSX onto that. I simply couldn't get the DVD to boot from a SATA DVD drive. (Error: Still waiting for root device.)

Second, I installed Lawless PPC 10.5.4 Leo Phenom-AMD DVD selecting all the available, correct hardware drivers for my PC.

Third: I waited. It was kind of bizarre, the installation seemed to freeze a couple times, and my hard drive light went off for a few minutes at a time, but I left it unattended for a couple hours during install, and when I came back I had already missed the welcome screen, restart, and boot-up, and it was wanting my info.

All in all, I'm very pleased with what finally happened, but would like to know more about why this did/didn't work before. I tried iATKOS v7, Kalyway 10.5.2, iPC 10.5.6, and iDeneb, 10.5.7. I spent most of my time working with iPC before I found Lawless, as it was the easiest to boot up, and had all my drivers. I did succeed in getting a working installation of 10.5.6 with iPC, but when I scrolled within a window, it froze and distorted the contents. It seemed impossible to fix, so I reinstalled and failed over and over.

Anyways, sorry for this lengthy explanation, I'm just eager to learn more about what's going on with my PC setup. I apologize again for my ignorance, I know some things probably sound silly in my explanation, but I'm hear to learn. Thank you InfiniteMac OSx86 Community!!!
