Hi, I have a problem that I am not able to fix. I have looked all around the forums and tried everything that is suggested but don't know how to fix this. The problem is that my 8600gt doesn't work with the DVI port. I have installed iAtkos V7 on a

Gigabyte G31M-S2L F4
Core 2 Duo 2.2Gh3
8600GT 256MB with VGA/DVI (VGA works but DVI doesn't)
4GB DDR2 800
Sata Hard Drive 320gb
ATA Hard Drive 250gb drive from old machine

Ok, here is what I did I installed on my SATA hard drive Mac in a GUID Partition. I installed the iAtkos V7 with Chameleon Bootloader 2, DSDT, Apple Decrypt, Disabler, OHR.

I installed one time the NVKush driver and the VGA work with QE/CI but no luck with DVI. I have read that some people fix the problem by just using VGA but I need DVI because I plan on using this PC as my HTPC and need to use a DVI to HDMI for my plasma that doesn't have VGA.

I tried a DVI/VGA String for Nvidia but no luck. I tried a Netkas driver I got in the X86 Wiki website suggested but nothing happened, it only read my card as a 1024mb instead of 256mb. Please, I need help and please tell me if I installed the mobo the right way cause I read some people say that JMicron is needed and Intel Chipset is needed but I did not use any and haven't had any problems. Thanks.

Have you tried updating your bootloader to AsereBLN Booter 1.1.9 (http://www.efixusers.com/showthread.php?t=644) and using GraphicsEnabler=Yes? The 8600GT is used in macs and is a "common" card, so it should work.

If you needed a JMicron kext or Intel one for your SATA controller, you would have known by now: you should get a kernel panic related to com.apple.iokit.IOAHCIFamily, com.apple.driver.AppleAHCIPort or com.apple.iokit.IOAHCIBlockStorage. At least that was my case, maybe if you have your drives in IDE you don't? If you do, you should use them in AHCI (change that in the BIOS).

What might happen is that you can only use one port for the primary display, so if you pug it into the other one you will get a black screen or something. I had to use the one on my right (looking at the tower from the front), but in my case they are both DVI. I don't know if modifying some com.apple.boot.plist injection could switch the "ports assigned to your primary monitor". I know there are different values for VGA/VGA DVI/DVI VGA/DVI and DVI/VGA, but I'm not sure it you can change them and still keep your card working with OS X.

If you can, plug a VGA monitor into your VGA port and a DVI one in the DVI one. If you get dual monitors, then the port is working and your problem is what I said. If you don't (meaning only the VGA one works), it's something else.
