Installation went smooth and everything works. However, after the system has been running for a while, I find that the mouse skips a lot, this includes the keyboard in that when I press a key once it repeats that character several times. I thought it was due to the system going to sleep so disabled that but it still happens.
The problem goes away after a reboot, but returns when the system has been running for a while...
Any ideas?

I found 3 things that effect this on my system.
1 run marvins.
2 Have to run memory at exactly 400mhz
3 Stop using nforce lan "bought realtek 8169"
Hope this is of some help.

If the problem persists, if your board allows I would try playing around with your memory timings.

I am having this problem too...it seems to be when I leave the computer on over night. When I come back to it in the morning it's all wacky and slow. The mouse jerks around and the GUI is choppy as hell. Iannxxx, what do you mean by "Have to run memory at exactly 400mhz"? Do you mean in BIOS settings or something? I've never messed with the timings before, so I'm pretty sure they're on 400 by default. On the other hand, I did have my FSB overclocked at the time I was noticing this problem, but I just turned it back to default. Do you think this could have been a cause too? I'm going to leave my system on again tonight, so we'll see what happens I guess...

All I can tell you is that I can overclock my processor no problems but if I overclock the memory then I have this problem.
if you have windows installed you can use cpuid to check memory frequency if your not sure.
Just to add again memory timings and speeds that work ok in windows and linux don't seem to work in OSX.
More and more people are stating this problem with erratic mouse movement after a few hours.
I'm not sure but I think Zeph posted a thread with a possible fix for this related to network, but I could have got the wrong end of the stick and can't find the relevant post.

Interesting...I definitely have never even so much as touched my memory settings, so I know it's not that. One thing I am very suspicious about is that I noticed that this problem seems to be happening after I've been running Tomato Torrent for a while (yeah, I know Tomato Torrent sucks...). So I left my system on again last night without Tomato Torrent running and it seemed to be fine. This certainly could be a network issue as you've mention since it does demand a lot of network activity. Right now I have a manually updated 10.5.2 based on Zeph's 10.5.1, but tonight I am going to try out his 10.5.2 DVD and see if that solves this issue (and other strange issues I've been having as well). Wish me luck :) And if you ever come across that thread, do let me know.
