DELL XPS M1710 - broadcom NetXtreme 57XX

hey guys,

I have a Dell XPS M1710. I've succusfully installed osx 10.5.8 but I can't get my LAN to work...

I've installed a driver I found on the internet, It recognizes the Ethernet adapter, but gives itself a random IP, so no internet connection...

If I set my ip manually, he can't connect... (But i'm not sure if I'm doing it right)

Can someone help me?

problem fixed, it works with the broadcom netxtreme 5701 driver

I'm getting the 1710 sometime this week and was wandering what you used to install. I have several distro's and experience in installing and configuring and don't mind the terminal.

Think you could help me out??

Also.. I have a Broadcom 4311 that I know is compatible with OSX but don't know if the computer will recognize it..You think it would??
