Hi,
I've been working on my hackintosh laptop for a couple of weeks now and was really trying not to post for help ... but I'm stuck.
I have no graphic acceleration and it crashes if it goes into sleep mode.
To deal with the graphics I have tried multiple nVidia kexts:
nVinject, nVenabler, natit. These made my system profiler show proper values for the card, but no acceleration.
I have modified the efi string in the plist using osx86tools: This didn't apear to do anything.
I have played around with the DSDT a bit as well.
What's worse is that when I do the basic EFi string edit:
graphics enabled
y
etc.
my screen goes blank on start up, but the computer is still running. A clear sign that the graphics are not loaded properly.
If anyone has even some ideas to try I would be very grateful.
My setup:
PM45 laptop (Sony Vaio CW)
core 2 duo
nVidia GT 210
snow leopard 10.6.3
Thank you.
p.s. if anyone has any ideas on how to get my laptop to sleep without crashing I would love to hear it.
