Ok, I'm a new Mac user, being converted from MS.

Now, if this has been addressed, please be nice and guide me to the post or link, but I have searched and not found for sure.

Does regular software (utorrent, VLC, Isohunt, etc.) work and download/install linke MS machines?

Or do I always have to look for a Mac equivalent?
