There is a company caled Touchbase and i have tried all there drivers named Egalax, but with no luck!!

There is drivers for Linux and Win 7 of course, but i dont think the egalax driver is the right one. Maybe Evtouch drivers could work?

ok great.. going to buy on..

im sure we can mod a kext for touch screen.

did you try the tabletmagic software, it's made for tablets , but it might just work...

I have a fuji lifebook 4250 wth SL, everything works awesome, even the table and pen...

its a fast duo core machine, but its a bit heavy. not a compact as the x9;

Is the device for the touch screen serial or USB, or PS2?

Cause we can mod a Kext...and test it out...if its Ps2.. that should not be hard..

wow, just stumbled upon this, i have just bought a digitalrise s1, wich is the x9, only no multi touch... so daniel101, could you provide me with a list of kexts etc i need to make 10.6.3 work on this...? and a copy of your dsdt if you use one :)

regarding touch drivers, i have no clue, but there are a lot of different vendors...
some i found doing a quick search, with osx drivers:

http://www.elotouch.com/support/Downloads/dnld.asp

http://home.eeti.com.tw/web20/eg/drivers.htm

and
http://www.touchkit.com/Drivers.htm

i have used the touchkit drivers with osx, and external lilliput touch screen...

dont know if any of these work though, still waiting for mye device in the mail :)

seeing now

which could mean that the drivers from here could work:
http://home.eeti.com.tw/web20/eg/drivers.htm

since this is the vendor of the touchscreen...

I dont use mac osx on my x9 cause touch not working. I have tried all those drivers you pointed at, but they dont work. Only use usb drive to test touchdrivers. I have hacked and tested all kinds of drivers for the x9, but with no luck.

Just use netbook installer and evrything working. I dont know about wireless, cause i swapped mine with a better one. Its a ralink card so it should work. The x9 is very easey to open. only 4 screws.

The latest netbookinstaller. Its an airport extreme card half size. You have 2 slots in the x9. one is full size and one is half size. The stupid thing is that you only have 2 antennas.

I got the digitalrise x9 working with touch in mac osx, but i had to buy a new digitizer on ebay and install it. So its only single touch, but its much faster with snow leo than with win 7. If you want to use mac osx on the digitalrise x9. Dont buy the multitouch version as i did. Cause it want work. The singletouch version is much cheaper and will work with mac osx. There are some very cool 3part drivers for tablets to scroll in osx with one finger only, as in the iphone OS.

great to hear you got it working :)
I have the single touch model and will try to get osx running on the thing :)
What drivers did you use to get touch working...?
And did you use anything else than the netbookinstaller...?

Netbook installer...this is a very good package.

so you must use a single touch digitizer...

can you point it to the right direction.. cause I my X9 is multi..and I can return it..

were on eBAY?

i tried with netbookinstaller, made a usb boot drive with 10.6.2 and netbootmaker, it boots, but when the install starts, it says that Mac Os X cant be installed on this computer.

I used disk edit to format and setup the digitalrise hd (GUID, 1 partition), restartet but same error...
suggestions...??

I cloned my mac minis Os [Carbon copy cloner] and installed Netbookinstaller on the usb drive. Before you install netbook installer you need to boot the cloned usb disk and install bootfix from your mac or hackintosh to your cloned Os. bootfix you can find on kexts.com
You need atom patch, but i think its built in the netbook installer? You just boot your cloned os with the digitalrise and you need to format the internal drive in your tablet in guid as you did. Use carbon copy cloner again and you need to install bootfix again and netbookinstaller again. 1. Bootfix 2. Netbookinstaller
Important: You have to install bootfix to the OS you booted from or otherwise it want work. You need a working mac or hackintosh to do that. With an hackitosh its easy, cause in chameleon just choose your usb drive and continue booting just to install the bootfix. Than use latest netbootmaker or installer to get your tablet active.

Just return it if you can? Cause it was really hard to remove the screen and install the other touch panel and digitizer.http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10-2-inch-Touch-Panel-Screen-Kit-EEE-PC-1000-1000HD-/110529155053?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Computer_Monitors&hash=item19bc0d0fed#ht_3714wt_927
