Hello everyone. I just installed Snow Leopard and everything seemed to be going fine (snow leopard flash drive booted, installed, and Snow Leopard booted) until I ran myHack. After I rebooted, the myHack/Chameleon bootloader worked fine, but I'm getting a "Waiting for root device" error. Specs are as follows:

Foxconn C51GU01 mobo
Athlon64 X2 3800+ Processor (2.0GHz, dual core)
2GB ram
Installed on a GPT partitioned 250GB Seagate HDD (connected via IDE)

I did select some nonstandard options while installing myHack, too. I can post those if it's necessary.

So does anyone have a remedy here?
Thanks.

Yeah it does. I downloaded the AMD/Core i5/i7 CD and it works fine up until I reboot after installing myHack... I'm also sure that I installed the patched "Chocolate" kernel for AMD/Core i7/i5. If I didn't, the whole thing would not even begin to start. At this point, I've already booted the installer, and the OS once.

I wish the myHack package developer hadn't started using "chocolate kernel" references. It took me a while to realize that it is just his own personal nickname for the snow.legacy kernel, no other difference.

Anyway, yes you are right if you replace the 10.6.0 mach_kernel with the snow.legacy kernel, you should be able to run SL with AMD and older Intel (like the Pentium D) processors to various degrees.

You should probably post more details about your build, BIOS settings, and pics of kernel panics if you expect to get much help.
