i7 920
Corsair 6GB
EVGA GTX 285 2GB SC
350GB WD - 2 GUID (150 GB OSXSL and 150GB OSXSL backups)
60GB OCZ Agility SSD - 1 GUID
Guys here is where I am at...
Initially I used iBoot to boot a pre patched kernel (10.0.0) and installed 10.6.0 on OSXSL. I then used time capsule to back it up.
Once I was happy with it, I partitioned the OCZ Agility SSD and restored OSXSL on it.
Now heres the fun part...
I found the guide on here for X58 10.6.2
I decided to try to install 10.6.2 on my old 150GB partition and it worked. Its hardened (at least for me).
I have also backed this up to the OSXSL backups partition.
Question is...
I now want my new 10.6.2 to live the rest of its life on the OCZ 60Gb SSD.
Can I boot iBoot, run the 10.6.2 retail, and do a successful restore of what Time Capsule has for my 10.6.2 install? Or do I need to use a different boot method? Is it safe to assume as long as I am in the installer I can do a successful restore from Disk Utility?
