i couldent find an intorductions thread so i thought i would post here,

ive been pokeing around and i couldent find any information that may help me but im not exactly sure where i should post, im trying to install leperd 10.0.6 on my machine
PC Specs

Motherboard: Asus-A7S8X-MX
BIOS: Phoenix - Award BIOS v6.00PG
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2600+, @1.9GHz
RAM: 512MB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500
can some one give me some pointers

I am fairly certain that the Athlon XP CPU uses SSE instructions. You will need a CPU with at least SSE2 to have a shot at an install. Sorry.

Hey all, just started in on my attempt at a gateway m7315u. Got it cheap, and so far all works minus the wifi and ethernet. Going to try a new distro and see what happens!
