Hello,
I was able to successfully install Snow Leopard on my Dell Latitude D531 using this guide:
http://www.insanelymac.com/2009/09/install-snow-leopard-106-on-amd-pc-hackintosh/
However, I would really like to have the installation on my hard drive, as the current setup is slow and I am running out of space. I have tried restoring the image (using Disk Utility) from the USB drive to the partition on my hard drive (which is MBR formatted, with Win7 and Leopard installed on other partitions), but every time I boot I get a kernel panic.
I assume the problem is related to my hard drive or its controller, but I'm not exactly sure what to do. The chipset is AMD M690T, and the controller is SB600. If anyone could shed some light on this problem, I would really appreciate it!
