I have tried many different kexts to get this to work properly and need help to get this working.im fairly new to this and dont really know that much in order to get it working ok.when i used the drivers on the dvd it loads up and then says i need to reboot every time .the only way i get it to load is without installing any driver for graphics but that is after a fresh install which takes a good few hours.can you let me know how to sort this out please. im fairly new and the last time i asked the reply i got was somthing i didnt know how to do.

seems that I'm not alone :)
try googling for "leo_vid_kexts.zip". That stuff does partially work for me (QE works, but there is a render bug in all menus).

I wonder, if that is some kind of GF7600 feature. Mine is not even supported by official NVIDIA Windows installer....

I have native (1280x800) resolution using 10.5.2 video update from the DVD (with latest NVinject 2.1 or with manual PCI ID patching). But the leo vid kexts are the only ones that do enable QE for me.

If it is a 512mb card, what does Darwin show as recognized video ram right at boot up? 512mb or 256mb?

I had to flash my 7300GT 512mb card to get it recognized as a 512mb card and to get NVinject to work properly.

I have not installed Windows so I cannot confirm but it is known to not cause any issues with windows.

See http://nvinject.free.fr/512Mb.html and http://nvinject.free.fr/forums/viewforum.php?f=11 for more info on flashing the cards. It was very simple and straightforward - took just a floppy disc, the nvflash utility and a new ROM from http://nvinject.free.fr/roms.php and it was done. After that, Darwin shows 512mb and NVinject and the 512mb kext give QE/CI and native res.

I was in the same position...that is the only way to make these 512mb cards work properly. If you don't want to flash it, which is a relatively easy and safe fix, you're going to have to find a different card.
