Hello all,
I've decided to install Mac OSX Leopard on my PC. After some preliminary research I decided on using iPC to do so.
I've looked around for a solution but have been unable to find one, either here or elsewhere on the web.
I've been playing around with the different kexts available during install and have reinstalled the OS several times. My latest attempt seems to be the best so far and while starting up in verbose mode (-v), these are the last few lines after nvdarwin correctly identifies my Nvidia Quadro FX 3000 graphics card:
ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPower Management) timed out
localhost DumpPanic[44]: Error getting a reference to IODeviceTree:/options
localhost DirectoryService[46]: Launched version 5.6 (v514.24)
localhost upsd[59]: ioupsd: bootstrap_register "com.apple.IOUPSPlugInServer" error = 0
Apple3Com3C90xB: Ethernet address 00:10:4b:8a:77:91
localhost configd[49]: InterfaceNamer: no network interfaces, could not update platform UUID
localhost /System/Library/CoreServices/loginwindow.app/Contents/MacOS/loginwindow[37]: Login Window Application started -- Threaded auth
localhost mDNSResponder mDNSResponder-176.3 (Sep 30 2008 16:59:38)[36]: starting
localhost /usr/sbin/ocspd[70]: startingBut that's as far as it gets. It just hangs at the last line. I even let it sit for an hour.
My PC has
an Pentium 4 3Ghz Processor
an Intel D865GRH Motherboard
Intel 8265G/PE Chipset
Nvidia Quadro FX 3000 graphics
SoundMax soundcard
These are the options I chose during the iPC customization:
Kernel: VooDoo 9.5.0 (Because my processor is SSE2)
Video: NvDarwin 256 (correctly identified my card)
Chipset: Intel ICHx SATA (was recommended on a forum but not sure if it is correct)
Fixes and Patches:
CPUs =1
Remove AppleIntelCPUPowerManager
Disabler kext
PS/2 keyboard
Applications:
kext installer
NTFS-3G Fuse
I can access both the install log and the system log through a linux live CD so let me know what other information I need to post and I will do so.
Thanks in advance,
David K
