"Still waiting for root Device" message upon new installation

Hi Folks:

I downloaded iPC Mac OS X 10.5.6 for PC and installed it several times with out success. I used modinpatched and voodoo kernel with chipset drivers selected. When I reboot, the OS stops at

"Still waiting for root device"

Google was not much of a help, as many people have had this problem. Please help me get Apple working on my Intel Celeron 2.7GHz, Soyo-P4VGA MoBo.

Your hardware is possibly not compatible. Today, I realized after three days of trying that my desktop pc isn't compatible to. My old f*cked up laptop is.

If you are installing on a sata drive, remember to set sata as AHCI
