Hi,
Well I got it installed to an extent, I had everything ticked bar the laguages and fonts. I have an Nforce board so all relevant boxes were ticked.
I did have to fix the EFI though but it is loading to an extent in that I see a grey background load, the colour wheel spin, it goes to a pointer and then the screen goes black.
Then the grey background and the pointer comes back and it just this over and over.
does anyone have any ideas, I've looked through the forum but not seen anything like my prob..
Any helps appreciated.

It's a known issue. The installer doesn't install the GUID bootloader correctly.

Isnt that the blinking cursor error though? Thats different, to mine, I actually see the OS load, if I use -v it runs through and passes the verbose mode to get to the above mentioned problem. I notice at the bottom of the wiki on how to fix the GUID it says "GUID bootloader must be now installed correctly."
Is this bad english and means it is now installed correctly, or it now needs to be installed correctly?

yes it is, especially with the PPF patch that was made available according to someone inquired about it on another discussion.

I had that problem as well once with the initial 10.5.2 Rev. 1 release, wait for the next release tonight and give it another try. If you don't prefer that method, consider MBR.

my boot help thing is corrucpted and I saw someone mention using -x on boot...
Well that worked, and depite having the drivers selected at install I have none is seems so will have to fix that :)
What does -x do anyway? can anyone point me in the direction of learning how to write/assembling my own drivers, I have an unusual soundcard
thanks

Well just for info, I sorted it.
I moved all the ge drivers into a old drivers folder, efectivly disabling them..
Its up and running in normal mode now but no sound, or Lan, which I am working on. Thanks for helping.
