Hi,

I have decided to try snow leopard again but I cannot get it to boot.

I have a USB formatted with the snow leopard retail dvd, that is plugged into my computer. I am also using a USB dvd rom drive for IBoot.

I have tried IBoot, EmpireEFI.etc but i always get a system hang on the installer:

Trying to change a collection in the registry

I also get the same message at the top of the screen just before NullCPUPowerManagement::start

I have also tried every boot flag i can thing of:
-x32 -f -x arch=i386 -s acpi -v
-x32 -f -x arch=i386 acpi=off -v
-x32 -f -x -v
-v -x32 arch=i386

Nothing works.

My machine is a AcerPower F6 with a Core 2 Duo E6??? (Works with vanilla kernel)
It has a ATI Radeon Xpress 200 chipset (ATA,etc) My harddrive is IDE.

I had this working before with snow leopard but it doesnt work now.

Hi,

Booted with EmpireEFI Legacy with the following params:

-x -v -f arch=i386 cpus=1 -x32 platform=X86PC

Using a SATA HDD with the Snow Leopard image restored to it.

So its now:

CD ROM - IDE
SATA HDD 1 - Destination
SATA HDD 2 - Storage
SATA HDD 3 - Snow Leopard Installer

But i am getting a hang on:

AppleUSBOHCI controller will be unloaded acress sleep.

Please help, i cant understand why this wont work when i used to have snow leopard on this machine working vanilla
