Hi all. Anyone install SL on P5NSLI?

A friend has tried to do an install to his P5NSLI but can't even get to
the install screen of mac. Either his mouse/keyboard lock up or he
kernal panics before even getting to the install screen.

I suspect he has the wrong install cd.

Any clues on how to find out if he has the correct cd?
