Hello all.

I am attempting to install Mac OS X on an HP Vectra VL420 (http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/lpv06569/lpv06569.pdf). This computer has an Intel Pentium 4 CPU (MMX, SSE, SSE2) and all of the hardware is in working condition.

I created a boot CD containing Chameleon 2.0 RC5 r650 (from SVN), andyvand's 10.6.5 legacy kernel V2, and my DSDT, SMBios, and kexts. I am trying to boot into the original Mac OS X Snow Leopard DL DVD.

When Chameleon finishes doing its thing and starts the kernel, the following kernel panic appears:

Any ideas?

Thanks,

I'm not sure of your P4's Frequency, but if it is over 3GHz try going into the BIOS and setting CPU Frequency Multiplier to x15 or less, could fix the problem.
