My install went great and everything was running fine but for some reason at random times, my whole system just freezes and never unfreezes. Is this happening to anyone else?

Asus A8N-Sli using a AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+
Nvidia 8800gts
2gb Ram
Using forcedeth ethernet driver

Have you overclocked your system? At least Tiger didn't like this, already 5-10% was making trouble with stability and IDE access. I also have an Asus board, the A8N-SLI Premium, a friend tried overclocking with his FX-55 and FX-57. Have you also tried booting with cpus=1 option ?

I had the same problem. Tryed to install it 3-4 times and it alwayes freezed, but after i unpluged the network cable it worked fine.

Hm, I'm wondering why people have problems with the nForce driver. Try to set it to in extended Options to manual settings, speed 100/100 Full duplex.

I just tried this, and so far no freezes. Have a current uptime of 15mins. Previous to trying, I would freeze as soon as any moderate activity on the internet started. We'll see if it continues to be stable. Using cpus=1 it was completely stable. Could stay on for days at a time. Hopefully manually setting lan will work that well with both cores!!
