First off, I just want to say this is an awesome forum. Browsing, I found more threads than I could count where people have been successful from help here. Keep up the good work.

Now, I'm no noobie to computers. Been using multiple Linux OS's for years now, and Console is friendly to me. So more than likely, I'm doing something little wrong here.

Alright. Here's what I'm working on. It's an older Compaq, no clue about the motherboard. The HCL link at the top doesn't have anything that resembles this thing. Here's the specs:

AMD Athlon 64 3000+
1.5 GB ram.
500 GB Maxtor Sata HD
Nvidia GeForce 6150LE graphics
Nvidia MCP51 controller
Nvidia MCP51 High def audio
Realtek RTL-8139 (rev 10)
NEC USB controller
Ralink TR2500 PCI wireless

I ran OSX 10.5.6 on my Acer Aspire One netbook, and install on it was a breeze, so I thought the same here. So I started to boot Iatkos v7, started off fine. Brought up the grey screen with the apple, the after about a minute, I got the circle with a line through it. Rebooted, hit F8, went into verbose mode (-v), but it just stopped. Tried failsafe mode (-f), but got a kernel panic.

So what am I doing wrong? Wrong disc, not patching it, what? I'm quite confused about it, so no clue what to do. Thanks in advance for any help!
