Is downloading revision 2 really necesary? Rev. 1 for me works fine, except for the drivers I chose during installation, none of them worked, but I got it sorted out (except for the goddamn graphics drivers).

Why download another DVD if Rev. 1 works fine? But i'm just asking if it is really necessary.

ok guys simple read the info/changes of both version, compare which one is match yr need/improve yr current system ,and decide whether or not to download.
For me old ver did not recognize my HD that is necessary to try a new ver.
So this is base on personal!

Rev. 2 is old kernel but only a few new kexts, isn't it? Think it's just for those, who hasn't got a working system.

If you are that type of savvy person who wants the latest in everything then revision 2 may be just right for you. However, keep in mind that newer things are not always that perfect as older releases. I can still work with Zephyroth's rev.1, but for the sake of it, I have decided to use rev.2, =). Also, wait for Zephyroth's surprise. its a surprise that I am anxiously waiting for.

What sort of surprise :) :)

Rev. 1 is perfect so far, I can sleep, restart, shut-down, etc, boots fast, all that stuff. Just wondering if it would be any improvement in getting Rev. 2.

I think the major change is 10.5.1>10.5.2

There are fixes to that in Revision 2 though. Zephyroth particularly stated them as well.

If your current install is working well for you - DON'T TOUCH IT! You're using Zephy's 10.5.2 original release, right? If all of your hardware is supported, bootloader is fine, and it's running well, you needn't be tempted... V2 addresses problems some people had with V1 and adds some additional device support mainly.

Its an obvious though that an update is only relevant to have when your hardware is in need off updated compatibility fixes.
