Dear friends,

I have successfully installed 1.6.3 (iBoot+MultiBeast) method and I have successfully upgraded to 10.6.6.

Right now working:
- I have managed to have my wifi working (thanks MultiBeast),
- Installed VoodooBattery and is working,
- Sound working with Voodoo 2.7.2, but sometimes it makes a horrible noise when it boots,
- Installed VoodooPS2Controller (26th of January version) only for keyboard ant it has limited functionality.

Big problems for I'm kindly request your expert assistance:
1. - Reboot does not properly every time (sometime it hangs).
2. - Shutdown is not working at all, I have to logout and shutdown and even then it hangs and I have to press the button to completely shut it down,
3. - The keyboard has the tilde issue (it is not there and ±, § are typed in instead), which is a pain in the proverbial as I need it to work (access web pages folder)
4. - the incorporated webcam (Chicony CNF7129 is upside down)
5. - Trackpad is not working, but I have to admit I just now installed it via VoodooPS2Controller.pkg and I have to reboot to see if it works,
6. - I have tried to fix reboot issues with the help of EvOreboot.kext (30 October, 2009), but to no avail.

I have looked for solutions, but after reading and reading I decided to ask for your kind helping hand.

Thank you

I had to reinstall once again for some reasons and right now I don't have any restart problem.
The issue of Shutdown still hangs in there.

The sound is a major PITA. The last VoodooHDA (2.7.2) does the job splendid but the audio device is not recognised in System Profiler - Audio (Built In). I guess that's the main reason any applications requiring mic input doesn't work. Please, a solution!?

The WIFI this time was solved removing the preexisting IO80211Family.kext and put in place the one provided at the K50IN post.

Please, I need your help?!

I have solved to other things

1. Sound ALC662.pkg from www.kexts.com solved the sond issue and most important ALC 662 is appearing in System profiler->Audio (Built in) -> Intel High Definition Audio. Yeeeeeyyyy!

2. WiFI works as it should with the kext again from www.kexts.com -> the original 10.6.6 release IO80211Family.kext. Fantastic! The problem is that I have updated the system to 10.6.6 in the first place but something went wrong with this driver.

Now, if only I would solve the shutdown issue!!!!! Hmmm

For the adusio try the solution from Buhgalter from the Asus K50IN topic - http://osx86.co/f47/asus-k50in-t4409/page10.html
I have the same problem with the shutdown - the computer shuts down the screen, but remains ON like in some kind of stand by mode! I have to turn it off from the button. If you find something about this problem, please let me know.

Kind regards

The sound works good, loud and clear and much, much gained in sound power (better than Windows driver). The problem is that every time I boot the machine the kext overrides the previous settings for the microphone resulting in a BIG micrphony. I have to start my machine with a jack inserted in order not to raise eyebrows in the office and stricken ladies reaction (TUUUURN THE Bloddy THING OOOOOOOFFFF you M F!)

Any solution for this??!

Off course, no shutdown supported yet!

I need to enable Quatz Extreme and OSX86Tools throws this:

Can’t make "The domain/default pair of (com.apple.windowserver, QuartzGLEnabled) does not exist" into type boolean. (-1700)

In system profiler Quartz Extreme and Core Image are not shown :(
