View Full Version : Is there a way to replace the EFI bootloader with the 'old' one?

Hello,

I'm having problems install Zepyroth DVD (10.5.2 rev 1) with this combination: AMD Sempron 3000+ and ASUS M2NPV-MX. The problem is simple: the EFI bootloader causes the system to reboot after loading the extensions in Extensions.mkext. It seems that other people have exactly the same problem with AMD Phenoms (look in this forum).

So, my question is this: is there a way to replace the EFI bootloader with the 'old' bootloader that doesn't emulate EFI? What kexts do I have to replace? Sadly, I only have that DVD, so if anybody could point me where I can download patched kexts that work without EFI I'll be very grateful.

Thanks!
