View Full Version : AMD build - can i install Leopard

Hi everyone, long time browser first time poster :)

Im trying to understand if i am able to install Snow Leopard with the following components, i would really appreciate any feedback.

AMD Phenom x4 965 CPU 3.4ghz
Asus M4A87TD/USB3 Motherboard
4GB DDR3 Ram
Samsung HD103SJ 1TB Sata HDD
Nvidia Geforce 8400 GS Graphics Card
Pinoneer DVR-218L DVDRW

Google 10.6.5 guide.. Works for the latest versions too. For the GPU use GraphicsEnabler parameter in Chameleon, or
alternatively use NVEnabler for the gpu.. as a kernel use legacy kernel..

I have a similar computer (Athlon II X3, 4GB Ram, 9500GT)

thanks m8, i found the guide and followed it but could not get ethernet working so just gave up :(

Well, You should check out your hardware and find out the correct kext for it. :)

I have no idea what your talking about lol, just going to buy a mac book air

Kexts are drivers in Mac OS world. You should google a bit.
