Hey there, this is my first post here!
Worked 4 days to get my Snow Leopard 10.6.6 (by Hazard) running on my computer (specs below). Finally now got it running with internal sound card working as well as the Nvidia 310M what I believe is fully working (getting the full resolution and it looks good now).
Lenovo G560
Processor: Intel Pentium Dual Core P6100 processor (2.0GHz, 3MB L2 Cache)
Memory: 3Gb DDR3 DRAM 1066 MH
graphics: Nvidia GeForce 310M (512mb)
audio: Nvidia HDA
My #1 reason to get OS X working on my PC is to have a working Final Cut Pro (had earlier Kalyway 10.5.2 on my earlier PC with fully working Final Cut Pro 6 working).
Now that I got the Snow Leopard working with sound+graphics, I tried to install Final Cut Studio 3 with Final Cut Pro 7. It installs fine, but when I try to launch the Final Cut Pro application, nothing happens and the application gets stuck.
By clicking properties for Final Cut Pro, and selecting "Open using Rosetta", I am able to see a Minimum requirements error message:
"Final Cut Pro requires that your system have a CPU type of G5; this system has a type of G4"
and
"Final Cut Pro recommends a screen resolution of 1280x800, this system currently has a screen resolution of 1366x768"
(by the way I am not able to select 1280x800, but only 1280x720...)
Has anyone here been able to make Final Cut Pro work on their OSX86?
Any help would be very very appreciated!
