First, I am coming to this forum because no one in other forums have helped or really tried. Second, sorry if this is the wrong forum, I didn't know where else to post.

The system I am trying to install this on:

Asus 1005HAB.

I have tried so many different things and nothing has worked.

I have tried both ideneb 1.3 and 1.4. Everything loads and installs, but upon first reboot (after initial install) it just hangs at the Apple screen (grey one). I have left it for hours and nothing.

I have tried Hazards 10.6x and nothing, either does the boot loop or again just hangs at the grey apple screen.

Tried this method: http://osx86sv.wordpress.com/2010/02/12/how-install-osx-10-6-2-on-an-pc-asus-p5-series-motherboard/ - and nothing, same result.

Tried iBoot, keep getting boot loop.

I do not have use of another MAC. I have tried booting from USB, nothing. Just hangs at the install screen with the spinning icon.

Anything you guys can recommend, please let me know. I will try anything.

I know nothing about the Asus 1005hab. But if you are getting the apple, you aren't booting in -v verbose mode. To diagnose the problem you must find out what is getting hanging. You have a kext in you system/library/extensions folder that is likely not compatible with your hardware.

To find out where to go next, boot up from shutdown, when you get to your boot loader , hit -v then boot your partition. I can't help until you boot in verbose then take a camera shot of your screen so we can see where your boot process is getting stuck.

Right now I wold be grasping at straws with what little I know about your system.

Nothing comes up after this "framework successfully initialized" huh?

Google "amd seatbelt.kext" or in search above. The kernel and seatbelt.kext file need to work correctly with each other. You might try one of the more recent kernels by Andyvand or nawcom. I'll check today what version of kernel and seatbelt.kext I'm using and I'll get back to you.

Thanks. I also need to know, how I would be able to install the Kext. Apple software is all new to me. Im a linux/Android guy. lol.

I tried that as well. My problem is, for some reason I cannot get a good copy of the SL DVD. I have downloaded over 45 times.
