Ok so this is the second time i'll be doing a hackintosh install. this time with a different computer. the last one worked great after a little tweaking and narrowing of distros but anyway here are the specs i have pulled so far.

ACER aspire 7551-2961
AMD Athlon II X2 p320 2.1GHZ Dual core (I've read that this processor is supported with 10.6)
3GB DDR3 PC3 10600 (1gbx2GB0
DVD+/-RW DL Drive
Hitachi HTS545032B9A300 ATA Device (system information says its Sata so it should work)
ATI Radeon HD4250 internal graphics with 256mb base memory and 1704 hypermemory
This system also has a Webcam, HDMI port, Card reader, 3 USB, 1 VGA,
Wifi:Atheros AR5B93 Wireless Network Adapter
Ethernet: Broadcom NetLink Gigabit Ethernet (I'm unsure of what model but i would rather the wireless work than the ethernet) I also have as an optional wifi device Netgear WUSB300n by netgear.

Now i've tried to use iDeneb v1.6 10.5.8 but it will not load to setup. I've read that 10.6.2. will work but in order to save discs and time it would be awesome if someone knew what distro i can use.

Install method: as this is a laptop and i would like to keep the portability of it it would like to keep the original windows 7 installed so that i can run to it. i do however had another computer to rely on but i dont want to. any and all help will be appreciated! for now i'll keep searching.

OPTIONAL: I will be getting a newer laptop with Intel core i3 2.10ghz dual core with Intel HD 3000 graphics and 4GB DDR3 memory and blu-ray. My curiosity is if this laptop will run it better or if it will have better support as apple uses intel core series now and intel graphics HD 3000 on some of their laptops. a dual boot will be much wanted on this one to! thx
