some discussions there in insanelymac but all seem without a solution..

Run the apple updater, and update iMovie. iLife '08 I presume? I had the same problem until I updated it. Now it works perfectly.

rfilez .. i am not sure about that last time i did apple update on my amd and it dint boot the next time..
came back here to see that the Marvin's tool needs to be used on binaries to change the cpuid ..

ahm... how big is iLife 08? I found an image with less than 4, iLife '06 was 6,12 GB.

Just don't install all the updates. The Security Update and Quicktime update are no-no's. Most of the rest is ok I believe. (Don't take my word on that though)
Anyhow, updating iMovie through the updater worked for me. Didn't need to patch the cpuids or anything. Try it, or backup to a time machine drive and try it. That way if it screws up, it's an easy recovery.
3.93gb for mine as well.

Haha me too. I made a DVD or 2 with iDVD but thats about it.
Really all I wanted was iPhoto to organize my pictures (have about 5000).

@ rfuilrez:
If you have a lot of photos, try PhotoPresenter: http://www.arizona-software.ch/photopresenter/
It has amazing slideshow effects using CoreAnimation, so it's Leopard only.
