can't burn dvds or cds with the new applenforceata.kext
so i am looking for a fix

i have an nforce 4 chipset
motherboard is mpc61
and it is all sata no ide on my board

you must wait a new kext release by Medevil or buy a USB/SATA adapter, it works perfect.

Or for the sake of Ģ20 buy an ide dvd writer, I bought one that plays dvds quietly because as far as I know there is no way to control speed in leopard

how do you do that?
this is what it show in the system profiler under disc burning

whatīs your first boot device (bios)? Try changing in your bios or open your case and change the cable.

the dvd burner drive is first boot
should i change that

You can try it and post the results here, if doesnīt works , back to the previous settings and thatīs all.

it didn't work

why is it showing that i can burn but it won't

Sata (DVD) support for Nfoce is still in phase beta, the system sees and recognizes your dvd but it seems that there is a problem with the data transfer

guess i will have to wait and see what happens


thanks for your help
just will boot into vista when i want to burn something until a fix comes along
