Sorry, and also do i need to dual boot?

since i have 2 harddisk
1. Winxp
2. Mac os

if i need, do i need to format the winxp to fat32 to dual boot for mac osx?

and also to install mac osx in the new harddisk, do i need to format it to fat32 first? or i jus need to initialize the harddisk to install mac osx.

I had the problem that I couldn't finish an istallation on my 500GB SATA HD. How do you have connected your HDs? Remove the Win HD from your system, jumper to MacOS to Master (if it's IDE). Set the HD in BIOS to LBA or Auto, it will maybe make problems in Large mode. If you are able to boot from the DVD, format it with the Disk Utility. If you're not able to boot, use a working Tiger DVD if you have one, I did that too. If you want to look how to set up an MacOS system which is easy to repair after a crash, look here:

I formatted my 500GB harddisk like this:

1 - Leopard (224,91)
2 - Recovery (15,90 GB)
3 - Shared (30,90 GB)
4 - Data (100,90 GB)
