Hi
I have a very strange problem after installation of zephyroth's 10.5.2 dvd.
When i have successful intsllation and rebooting my machine i get the picture above and i cant proceed to anything
My specs
amd x2 6000
asus m2n-e sli
2gigs ram
Ati 2600 xt sonic
wd ata 40gb
TSST dvd rc sata
When i move mouse i can see somewhere in there the cursor but thats it
Can anyone help with that?
Thats odd, have you tried, switching the DVI or VGA port on it?... Doesnt that card have 2? if not try moving the video card to a different slot..... it kinda reminds me of the black and white dots on a tv when u cant find a channel on normal cable? :P

try with this (http://www.mediafire.com/?zgmrxf9yajm), the zip contains the kext prepatched for 2600xt.
I donīt know if it works ( i donīt have ATI). Donīt forget correct the permissions (chmod/chown) or use kexthelper.

at boot press f8 and type -s you will see the cmd prompt, now type
mount -uw / (enter)
rm -r /system/library/extensions/natit.kext (enter)
rm -r /system/library/extensions/Atiradeonx2000.kext (enter)
reboot
download Kexthelper (http://www.cheetha.net/Kext_Helper/Software_files/Kext%20Helper%20b7.zip)
extract in your desktop the previous file (2600xt kext) open kexthelper and drag&drop the kext to install type your password install and reboot.

Holy crap i've had similar problems the other day! I never got the drivers working on my 2600PRO (dev id 9589, some XT's have the same id).

I found a "half" solution:
I 've installed macosx with ati 2600 drivers during installation.
After finishing installation and before it boots for the first time
i used
mount -uw / (enter)
rm -r /system/library/extensions/natit.kext (enter)
rm -r /system/library/extensions/Atiradeonx2000.kext (enter)
reboot
then it boot perfectly, then with kexthelper i install natit.kext from netkas
and then i have an almost working ati2600xt (no qe).
I am almost satisfied with my new hackintosh
