I just installed iLife '08 and everything seems to be working fine right now. My question is, would using the software update for iLife crash my AMD build?

just make sure you run marvin on it

just install the updates
than run marvin on the app folder after the updates have installed
patch if need

I never had to run Marvin's after updating my software for iLife '08. Everything works flawlessly as expected. =)

I have installed iLife08, all the apps when launched after a while they close and appears a message that I should send report to Apple, to ingore it or relaunch it.
I have tested iPhoto and when it closes when I try to import pictures, Garageband open but closed after a while, iWeb, iDVD & iVideo worked but didn't tested more to know.
Has anyone else those problems?

iMovie '08 crashes on all tested systems, Zephyroth 10.5.1 RC2, 10.5.2 RC1 and Kalway 10.5.2. It starts and then quits unexpectedly.

So far I have no issues with any of the iLife 08 apps or the updates. Even iMovie 08 works fine.

On mine it doesn't even start. When I launch it shut's down immediately.

@ToroLoco I had the same problem until I did Software Update and patched it, now it works with no problems.

There are 2 updates for iMovie and 1 for iDVD on Apple's website that I had to install, then they both worked perfectly. Ran marvin's on the App folder and it found a couple of cpuid's in iMovie so I patched them. Also Garage Band crashes the first time I launched it but I clicked ignore and re-launched and it works perfect every time now. Over all everything runs fine on my system (HP Pavillion a1600n updated graphics to a Geforce 7300 GS).

dpollard55, I've encountered a similar situation for iMove, and now everything works as expected. Patching is the key. You all should try Zephyroths ASU 0.3, and install the ILife updates from there. Let me know if everything is working from your experience. =)

I agree with WinLinMac01, try to download the iLife updates with Zephyroths ASU 0.3 and you don't have to do the extra patching with Marvin.

Yeah I would have used Zephyroths ASU, but it wasn't released until after I had already fixed the issues. Wish it had of been though, would have been much simpler. Oddly enough iMovie worked before I ever patched it... just needed the updates. Though I didn't try to encode anything at the time, so it might of had problems and it might not have. I patched it mainly to be on the safe side I guess.

Thats good to hear. Yeah, I remember installing without ASU and it still worked on my system, with no patching required. Odd how it is depending on your system configuration, lol.

Based on my last update garageband and iPhoto where the only with patched cpuid's for iDVD and iMovie there where no pcuid's found to patch.

My ilife is fully updated to last version.
Everything works fine, but the book option in iPhoto. iPhoto cannot find any themes."Card" works fine and has all the themes.
Where should i check, where can i get the themes and where should i put them? Or i have to reinstall and reupdate iLife/iPhoto?

in reading around, I stumbled across this:

Apparently you need to reinstall iPhoto unless you can find those files from a Time Machine Backup.
/Library/Application Support/iPhoto/
there should be a Themes folder here.
I found them on my machine and can try to upload an installer for them, unless you want to just reinstall iPhoto/iLife.
EDIT: I just created the installer with proper permissions and currently uploading it to MediaFire. I will report back when it is online.

ok... here is the link to the zipped installer for the iPhoto Book Themes. The installer should place the themes to the right spot with the right permissions.

Hi I have an AMD Phenom x3 8650 2.31
Mobo:ASUS M3A78 PRO
on board: ATI Radeon HD 3200
I've tried Kalyway 10.5.2 but doesn't boot
Lawless: but it doesn't boot
Zephyroth rev 2 again it doesn't boot gives me a cpu panic
Any ideas what to try?
Is there anybody with the same hardware?
