I'd love to be able to listen to my collection of chiptunes (.xm format, mostly) on my Mac, but there doesn't seem to exist a decent application for this purpose.

The only one I've found appears to be CocoModX, which is buggy and crashes for an unknown reason, as well as a Terminal script, which is cool and works, but not exactly what I'm looking for.

Can you help me out? :-)

Thanks

I just found another application called XimpleMod, but both (CocoModX and XimpleMOD 3) crash at the start, with the following error:

0xb8000000 - 0xb81d7fe7 translate ??? (???) /usr/libexec/oah/translate
Seems like they are for Power PC. :-(

Wow, I've just found it, a great Mod/Chiptune Player for Mac OS X. :-D
Thank you, Vincent (http://vspader.com/index.php?blogId=2).

update: VLC is able to play them as well. ;-)

CogX -> http://cogx.org/

Now it would be perfect to have a ModPlayer for the iPod Touch! R0GUE, I need your Coding skills! :-D

@ Puttabong:

If you like chiptunes, have you tried the High Voltage SID Collection? 35.000 SID songs from the C64: http://www.hvsc.c64.org

A great Sidplayer for the Mac - wow, SIDplay 4.0 looks like iTunes! http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/8714/sidplay

Slay-Radio plays C64 and Amiga remixes all the day via Real stream: http://www.slayradio.org

And here are remixes of original C64-Tunes: http://www.remix64.com/charts.html

This tune is from the demo Biba 2 from the group Arise, made in 2002. Its a zip archive, not rar.

Here's a demo how the SID sounded 19 years before ;-) It's also a zip.
