Reverted to Chameleon 2.1 rev 1819 and my 9800GT worked, no more black screen.

EDIT: Also worked with 1902

What if we get a DP2 xpchelper and we replace it???

System
  • MoBo: MSI K9N2GM-FD, Chipset GeForce 8200 (MCP78)
  • CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ @3,02 Ghz
  • RAM: Kingston 2GB DDR2 800Mhz + Corsair 2GB DDR2 800Mhz @747Mhz
  • VGA: EVGA 9800GT SSC
  • HDD: 300GB WD SATAII
  • Optical Drive: Sony SATA 24X
  • OS: Vanilla Mac OS X Server 10.6.0 + Nawcom ModCD, upgraded to 10.6.8 and Windows 7 x64.
Everything works, except sleep, so system isn't Energy Star compilant .

Great idea

why quotes arent working for me? -_-

not that new dwash... im already using it... what trouble exactly do you have???and are you using one for AM2 CPU socket or AM3

And whats full CPU name??? so i can find out which socket it needs in case

Just to show you here is myself booting OS up with it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pq_8f...frwInb6v1qU%3D

davisin666 I was thinking about it but I dont think itll work... because I cant even find it and also its full time running so replacing it isnt the best idea :/ but maybe im wrong

Will be able to think more deeply after ill find out what exactlyit does... becuz now I think it handles errors in apps thats why they cannot start :/

And I think its not a file...I think its like a lot of files according to this:

Nice to hear! too bad it isn't that simple to replace as it's a core service.

dwash kernel

use the one for AM2 socket think its the first one... it cannot boot installation media since inst. media is 10.7.0... u need to use OSInstall.mpkg method and it instant reboots cause you need to use -legacy and if you do then I need to know family and model of CPU

and unrealized sorry

Well, This has been discussed so many times in this threads. You cannot install it from the installation media (yet).

But you can install from 1) a real mac, swap the hdd after install 2) Install Snow Leo and install iAtkos L2 to another partition by running OSInstall.mpkg.

I would check if the CPU is supported first, though. Also, old Chameleon doesn't work for Lion, it causes an instant reboot.

@Puttabong: Thanks
Pb: Thank you ofc!

If you have Snow Leopard and don't have windows and need to use CPU-Z to check cpu, use CPU-X as an alternative (download here)

This is not really for AMD, so it shows some of the items

AFAIK, most modern O/S use PAE (Physical Address Extension) which allows 32-bits x86 processors to access a physical address space (including random access memory and memory mapped devices) larger than 4GB
