Back up your Snow Leo before trying any of them. Report back, we're all helped when we know that something really works and how (by the way, hey, xmaniak!, did the drivers work?).

Maan I just got the card today...however i found out my brother misbought Audigy SE instead of VX... i thing its not the same audio chip so kx wont work...anything else?

I would try it anyway but i want to be at least 70% sure before rewriting OS on my SSD... I think its gonna die soon

The thing is that on the kx web they have this (Audigy SE/LS which is not EMU10K(1 or 2) will not work!) however on wikipedia it writes that Audigy SE has EMU10K2 which is supported

Could i actually test whether audio will work on VM??

EDIT on other web I found that it is chip Audigy

Ham4ever, i would try the following: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/ind...owtopic=113288

xmaniak100, you can try the kx drivers with your Audigy. The worst thing that can happen is that the drivers don't work. Is your SSD broken? Vmware and other virtualization software emulate their own card, so the answer is no, you can't.

I know where I mess up at, it has something to do with me only having two harddrives. I partitioned the mac harddrive to have snow leopard and lion on it but something gets messed up when I do everything else after that. Keep in mind i'm using easybcd for a boot menu for Windows 7 and Mac.

This is the problem I'm having. I know if I had 3 harddrives which I don't, I could easily just delete Snow Leopard.

Its not broken yet hovever i cahnge my OS like 100 times a mounth and i am feeling that its dieing

Well I know but i dont have a disk to back up my system so i wanna be sure...could i test with kx drivers for windows??? are they the same?

The problem is that i dunno whether there is no post about that card because its impossible to make it work or because its so easy

Ou... I dont want to mess something up so create a timemashine backup... but i would delete the partition with SL and if i got some boot1/0: errors i would do this...it worked for me: http://www.macbreaker.com/2012/02/ha...ot0-error.html
