UniBeast takes 10-15 HOURS instead of minutes
So the folks over at tonymac did not want to help me with this at all since I'm doing it using OS X from a torrent (even though I eventually DO buy OS X once I actually have it installed and running), but anyway.
I first tried to install Lion with iAtkos L2 and it successfully installed, but I couldn't boot to it. (The last message in verbose mode was something about iTunes/Mac App store DRM, which makes no sense.) Then I tried to do it using this Unibeast thing, and it was an overnight operation waiting for it basically. When I got back in the morning, the USB drive didn't look the way it should have looked and didn't boot at all. Trying to do this from 10.5.7, but I don't even know if that will even work at all. Do I need SL first? Last edited by Extremador; 05-14-2012 at 08:20 AM. |

i know distros help users to get osx going...but buying a 10.6 dvd is the best bet..
for a stable install.. some distress are chipset dependent..so u need to tweak them... and note that a stable osx in tall is usually best on a vanilla kernel..not a mod... |

I have no idea why it took 10 hours. What USB stick are you using? On a SanDisk Cruzer Micro, it takes about 30-40 minutes, although the UniBeast installer says 13 hours remaining.

You could give myhack a try if you have access to a mac to run it.
Unibeast didnt run on my amd-pc,too. But myhack did For myhack you also need at least 10.6 I think... 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean. Free credits ($100) for InfMac readers. AMD FX 8120 Black Edition ASUS M5A97 Geforce 9500GT OS X Lion Retail 10.7.4 |
