No Snow Leopard Retail installation, using a Boot CD, is not possible on AMD.
We are missing a 10.x Kernel that provides the CPUID patching feature, as the Voodoo Kernel did for Leopard...

What you can do is to install Snow Leopard from within Leopard to second Partition, apply a patched Kernel & do the opcode patching using Marvin's AMD Utility. See the Snow Leopard pre-boot forum - you'll find further instructions there.
