Iīve the same cpu that you have and iīm not able to boot with flag arch=x86_64  but i donīt use chamelon 2 RC4. I use Chamelon 2 RC5 from kabyl (because of injection from my graphicscard)..... could that be the reason why it doesnīt work?
Did you try it with an other bootloader and if you try it does it work?
