8400gs/nvinject restart works, fails after shutdown
with my 8400gs I have been having mixed luck (mostly bad). Sometimes I can get nvinject to work... and usually I can survive a few restarts. So I think I finally have it working...and shut down.
But when I start back up later.. I always(?) lose the success and boot to a blue or black screen? What's the difference in the restarts working and shutdown/boot failing? I've been flushing the kext caches and restarting with -f. EDIT: on one of my bad restarts I found that if I disconnected my DVI>-HDMI cable and reconnected, I suddenly had a screen.... in case that is a clue. GA-G31M-ES2L.v1, E6300 @ 2.8GHz, nvidia GT240 (or 9500GT), 10.6.6, fakeSMC rev454 Last edited by zim2dive; 03-23-2009 at 12:56 AM.
