Well, Apple Cinema Display is expensive because it's made from aluminium, i guess it has LED matrix which is expensive, and...it's Apple so it has to be expensive ( i guess it's not really worth the price...but still i'd like to have one ) Anyway, If you need it just for home work, so it doesnt have to be anything special - take a look at BenQ E22HDA, it's 22,5 inch, but has 1920x1080 resolution, VGA, DVI and HDMI inputs, works quite well, looks nice, and in comparison to other brands it's dirt cheap.
