no never touched dsdt (not even sure what dsdt does). Pretty new to all this AMD stuff. My last 2 builds where intel and they where a breeze. Honestly that voodooHDA is confusing. I thought all i had to do was throw the kext in with kext utility but obvisouly not since sound isnt working. About to try to read the link thats on the page of the link that you sent.

So any prereqs before installing a combo update?

Any good dsdt tutorials or anything of that nature that you would recommend?
