i just bought a geforce GT240 1GB DDR5, and after i installed it, i lost display altogether in my retail snow leopard installation. if id delete geforce.kext (and all the other nvidia kexts) from within windows (have MacDrive 8 installed) the system would boot up. but if i put the kexts back in, it wouldnt.

so i started playing with different injectors, EFI strings (where i found out that osx86 tools doesnt work in snow leopard... grrr!!) and still couldnt get it. so i decided to try the VGA out, and sure enough, it came right up. full resolution, QE/CI (confirmed by front row and adding a widget) however, i notice a HUGE difference in picture quality, and its not good enough for me. i think the injector i am using right now is NVInject, and its for a 9800GTX, maybe that would be an issue here?

oh.. and real quick, for some reason, profiler shows my system as a mac mini. is there a way to change that, or am i better off leaving it alone?
