Well I have the same problem on my Toshiba L305, It has a GMAX4500 Graphics card, which is not fully supported it has everything BUT Quartz Extreme, So I found it more useful to just install Tiny7 Ultimate on it, I found the video problem to be quite troublesome and never found a solid solution. I recommend a re-installation of you're OSx86 drive.
