Hyper-V

I've recently installed iPC OSx86 10.5.6 PPF6 on a:

Shuttle SP35P2-Pro
Core2 Duo E8400 CPU
8GB RAM
Intel ICH9R SATA Controller
Silicon Image SiI-3124 PCI SATA Controller (for eSATA port-multiplying which ICH9R doesn't support)
nVidia GeForce 8500 GT Video Card
Marvel Yukon 88E8056 Ethernet Adapter
RealTek ACL888 Audio

The install was easy... no issues. I downloaded and installed the 10.5.8 combo update, reinstalled the drivers and have been up and running.

I have Windows Server 2008 SP2 x64 installed with Hyper-V on the same machine. I have XP Pro (x86) and Windows 7 (x64) installed as Virtual Machines within Hyper-V.

I want to install OSx86 in Hyper-V instead of Dual Booting, which is incredibly annoying.

So this is what I tried:

1) Using the iPC OSx86 DVD and ISO image to install... just get a blinking cursor... won't boot.

2) Using a Boot 132 CD and ISO image, I can get the boot menu, but can't boot to iPC OSx86 or Retail Leopard DVD or ISO.

3) Then I mounted the shell .VHD as a drive and used MacDrive to copy the Leopard installation over to the VHD. I got a boot error.

4) I figured, I already have an installation on the same physical hardware, so I used WinImage to create a .VHD from a physical drive. Now I get something like:
Boot0: ...
Boot0: ...
Boot0: done
Boot1: /Boot

...and then it hangs.

5) I tried the same approach via the Hyper-V virtual disk settings, creating a new VHD from a physical disk. More errors.

Anyway, the Leopard drive is formatted as GUID.

I thought the VHD from physical drive would surely work. Alas, no.

Has anyone had any luck installing OSx86 (any version) as a Virtual Machine in Hyper-V???

Thanks.
